Bayern Munich have set an absolute scoring record in the German Bundesliga. The historic feat happened during the Matchday 29 clash against St. Pauli.
Kompany's men opened the scoring as early as the 9th minute in Hamburg, thanks to Jamal Musiala. Early in the second half, Leon Goretzka found the net from a set piece, delivering Bayern's 102nd Bundesliga goal of the current season.
Interestingly, the previous record also belonged to Bayern. Back in the 1971/72 season, the Munich giants hammered in as many as 101 Bundesliga goals, a phenomenal tally they have now surpassed after 54 years.
It's worth noting that the "Roten" still have five games left this season—plenty of chances to push their scoring benchmark even higher.
