The CAS denies having reached a verdict on the 2025 AFCON final
The case is still ongoing
The Court of Arbitration for Sport has officially put an end to the rumours surrounding this case between Senegal and Morocco, which has been ongoing since the final played on 18 January 2026.
Reports have been circulating in recent days claiming that the CAS had ruled in favour of Senegal. In response to these allegations, the institution has sought to set the record straight.
In an official statement, the Court of Arbitration for Sport clarified that the case is still under review and that no verdict has been reached at this stage. Senegal and Morocco will have to wait a little longer before learning the CAS’s decision.
