Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has shared his emotions about the upcoming farewell to the team's head coach, Jürgen Klopp.

It is worth recalling that the German coach announced in January that he would be leaving the Merseyside club. He has been in charge of the team since 2015.

"I am an emotional person, I don't like goodbyes. It will be awful! As captain, I probably won't say much, but I fear this day. If we achieve success, it will be easier for us, that's our goal now," van Dijk told ITV.

Liverpool is actively continuing its search for a new head coach for the next season following Klopp's departure. The list of potential successors to the German includes names like Simone Inzaghi, Ruben Amorim, Roberto De Zerbi, and Julian Nagelsmann.

Recall that currently, Liverpool is in first place in the English Premier League table. Klopp's team is two points ahead of Arsenal and three points ahead of Manchester City.
