The captain of Ivory Coast national team is on the verge of changing clubs

The Ivorian defender of Nottingham Forest, Serge Aurier, is poised to change clubs on the last day of the transfer window.
According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray in Istanbul has reached an agreement with the player on the terms of a personal contract and is actively engaging with Nottingham Forest. Negotiations are in the final stages, and at this point, the clubs are verifying all the documents to finalize the deal.
Aged 31, Aurier joined his current club in September 2022 as a free agent. Prior to that, the footballer played for Villarreal, Tottenham Hotspur, PSG, Toulouse, and Lens.
In the current season, the experienced right-back has participated in 13 matches for the Forest, with 12 of them being in the English Premier League (EPL), contributing two assists.
Currently, Aurier is representing the Ivory Coast national team in the Africa Cup of Nations. He has played in three out of four possible matches for the tournament hosts. On February 3, the Elephants will face Mali in the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Galatasaray is currently in second place in the Turkish Süper Lig, trailing Fenerbahçe only on additional metrics. In January, the Istanbul club transferred defender Sacha Boey to Bayern Munich.
