The CAF Disciplinary Committee has rejected Al Hilal Omdurman’s appeal against RS Berkane

The Sudanese club now intends to take the matter to the African Football Confederation Appeals Committee.

Al Hilal Omdurman lodged a complaint against Morocco’s RS Berkane following their quarter-final match in the 2025–26 Champions League. In its appeal, the Sudanese club contested the eligibility of player Hamza El Moussaoui for that fixture.

Al Hilal Omdurman accuses its opponent of fielding the defender whilst he was serving a 30-day suspension. Whilst the Sudanese side is calling for RS Berkane to be disqualified from the Champions League semi-finals, the CAF Disciplinary Committee rejected its appeal this Friday 10 April.

However, Al Hilal has no intention of dropping the matter. The club announced in a statement that it will lodge an appeal with the CAF Appeals Committee.
