The Danish striker could be on his way to Serie A.
Details: According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma's management has reached out to Manchester United representatives regarding the transfer of 22-year-old striker Rasmus Højlund.
It's reported that United are demanding at least €45 million for the young Dane, while the Giallorossi are reluctant to open their wallets and are pushing for a loan deal with a purchase option. Negotiations are currently focused on finding a compromise regarding both the fee and the structure of the transfer.
Højlund joined Manchester United from Atalanta for €78 million in 2023 and has since made 95 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring a total of 26 goals and providing 6 assists.
As of now, Rasmus Højlund's market value is estimated at €35 million by Transfermarkt, while his current contract with United runs until 2028.
Reminder: Manchester United have already found a potential replacement for Højlund if he leaves.
