Bayern Munich is playing against Benfica in the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League. The match was scheduled to start at 21:00 CET, but this did not happen, and the kickoff was delayed.
Details: According to a post on X (formerly Twitter), the game was delayed by 15 minutes due to difficulties many fans faced reaching the stadium.
The issue was caused by a signal box malfunction, which led to delays in the subway service heading to the stadium. The signal box has now been repaired.
A video has been posted online showing a fire at a metro station provoked by Benfica fans.
Reminder: In the match between Brugge and Aston Villa, a witty penalty was awarded to the English team. The Villa defender picked up the ball in his own penalty area.
By the way, Mings became the first English player to concede a penalty in his debut UEFA Champions League match.
