Reports indicate that although Bayer's management have several options for the coaching role, Luís remains their number one target. Negotiations between the parties are already underway, and as soon as an agreement is reached, the club will announce the departure of current head coach Kasper Hjulmand.
Filipe Luís's last and only managerial position was at Brazilian side Flamengo, where he was in charge from 2024 to 2026 and even clinched the Copa Libertadores title.
