Barcelona's winger Ferran Torres might depart from the Catalan club in the near future, as reported by AS.
According to the source, Torres might become surplus to requirements for Blaugrana due to various reasons. Firstly, Barça has acquired Vitoria Guimaraes' Riqui Puig for a fee of 40 million euros, who plays similarly to the Spaniard and is set to join Blaugrana in the winter transfer window.
Moreover, Ferran and his agents did not have a good relationship with Xavi and the team’s coaching staff - the player does not feel absolute support from the coaches. It's also noted that after the departure of the former sporting director Mateu Alemany, who was the main advocate for his transfer, Torres has ceased to feel content within the club.
The Spanish national team winger moved to the Catalan club in January 2022 from Manchester City for 55 million euros. This season, Torres has featured in 19 matches across all competitions for Blaugrana, scoring five goals and providing two assists.
Earlier reports indicated that Barcelona might consider an early departure for their primary striker.
