The ATP did not confirm the information about holding the January Masters in Saudi Arabia
Earlier, there was information that starting from 2027, Saudi Arabia would become the new host of the January Masters 1000 tournament. Despite objections from some players and experts, the decision to move the tournament was made.
However, the ATP has refuted this information, stating that no decisions have been made yet.
"We are aware of media reports suggesting that a decision has been made regarding the tenth ATP Masters 1000 tournament. We would like to clarify that these reports are inaccurate. No decisions have been made, and we will communicate any updates in due course," - the organization stated in a statement.
Additionally, the ATP announced a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia, where the sovereign fund of the country will sponsor several ATP tournaments. These tournaments include events in Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, and Beijing, as well as the Nitto ATP Finals and the Next Gen ATP Finals, which will be held in Jeddah until 2027.
