The expansion in tennis continues. Starting 2027, a January Masters will be held in Saudi Arabia

Starting from 2027, Saudi Arabia will become the new host of the January Masters 1000 tournamentas TENNIS MAGAZINE ITALIA reported.

The decision to move the tournament to Saudi Arabia was made and confirmed by ATP leadership, despite opposition from some players and analysts.

It is expected that the tournament will take place during the first week of the season. Currently, negotiations are ongoing regarding the planning and organization of the Masters.

Earlier, it was reported that the WTA Year-End Championships in 2024 will be held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, ATP announced a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia. The Saudi sovereign wealth fund will sponsor many ATP tournaments, including those in Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, Beijing, the Nitto ATP Finals, and the Next Gen ATP Finals in Jeddah until 2027.
