Newcastle could pocket a hefty sum this summer.
Details: According to renowned and well-connected journalist and insider Nicolo Schira on his X social media page, Arsenal is still actively working to sign Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães.
The driving force behind the deal remains Gunners' head coach Mikel Arteta, who views the Brazilian as one of the key candidates to bolster the midfield.
At the moment, Newcastle's stance remains the main stumbling block. Despite this, the Gunners' management is preparing a new bid, hoping to persuade the English club to let one of their leaders leave.
There are reportedly no issues with the player himself—personal terms have already been agreed and won't be an obstacle to finalizing the transfer.
Bruno Guimarães is currently under contract with Newcastle until 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €70 million.
