The amount of money Juventus will earn on Szczęsny's transfer to Barcelona has been announced

It has been reported that Wojciech Szczęsny has agreed to resume his career in order to join Barcelona. According to Italian media, the former Juventus goalkeeper’s decision could result in some financial benefit for his old club.
Details: As per Calciomercato, Juventus will save €2 million if their former goalkeeper signs a deal with the Catalan club.
Szczęsny terminated his contract with Juventus in August, a few weeks before officially announcing his retirement. However, the agreement with the Bianconeri is still in effect. This clause allows Juventus to save €2 million from the €4 million severance package they had agreed on with the Polish goalkeeper last month.
Szczęsny still had one year left on his contract with the Bianconeri, worth €6 million.
Reminder: Barcelona’s main goalkeeper, Marc-André ter Stegen, suffered a serious injury in the last La Liga match. After tests, it was revealed that Ter Stegen had a complete tear of the patellar tendon in his right knee. He will undergo surgery and could be sidelined for 7-8 months.
It’s worth noting that Szczęsny recently announced his retirement. One of the reasons behind his decision was that after leaving Juventus, he didn’t receive any contract offers from top clubs, and the Polish goalkeeper wanted to remain at the highest level.
