Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny has decided to revive his football career and has signed a contract with Barcelona.
Details: Noted insider Fabrizio Romano has reported that the goalkeeper has decided to resume his career and has signed a one-year deal with Barcelona as a free agent. Medical tests will take place in Spain in the coming days.
Reminder: Marc-André ter Stegen suffered a severe injury in the last La Liga match. Tests revealed a complete rupture of the patellar tendon in his right knee. He will undergo surgery later today and is at risk of missing 7-8 months.
Interestingly, Szczęsny had recently announced his retirement. One of the reasons for Wojciech's decision to retire was the lack of contract offers from top clubs following his departure from Juventus, as the Polish goalkeeper wanted to remain at the elite level.
