Panathinaikos player and former Greek national team footballer George Baldock was found dead on Wednesday, October 9.
Details: According to reports from Greek media, the Greek footballer was discovered dead in his home in Athens. The cause of death is currently unknown.
Baldock played as a right-back or right wing-back for the Greek Super League club Panathinaikos. Although Baldock was born in England, he held Greek citizenship due to his Greek heritage and represented the national team of Greece in international competitions.
From 2017 to 2024, he played for Sheffield United. In the summer of 2024, George Baldock moved to Panathinaikos. Just a few days ago, on October 6, he participated in a match against Olympiakos, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
