The 2026 World Cup is set to take place this summer, and prices surrounding the tournament are already raising eyebrows—especially when compared to other major competitions.
Details: According to Martyn Ziegler of The Times, the cost of parking at the 2026 World Cup could exceed the price of two match tickets for Euro 2028.
At Euro 2028, ticket prices are expected to be under £30, as UEFA aims to keep them affordable. This stands in sharp contrast to this year’s tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The 2026 World Cup will run from June 11 to July 19, 2026. The tournament will be jointly hosted by three countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. For the first time in history, 48 teams will take part, instead of 32.
Euro 2028 will be held across four countries: England, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland, running from June 9 to July 9, 2028.
Reminder: Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni made a surprising statement ahead of the World Cup, commenting on the potential participation of Lionel Messi in the tournament.
