Thato Sibiya reveals Lebo Mothiba's role in him leaving Mamelodi Sundowns for France side LOSC
Newly-signed LOSC defender Thato Sibiya has revealed how his Mamelodi Sundowns team-mate Lebo Mothiba was instrumental in him accepting the move to France.
Sibiya was announced by LOSC today as he will spend the season on loan at the club from Sundowns and the defender praised Mothiba's role in his France move.
Mothiba's advise is important to the player because the Sundowns striker played in the European state before joining the PSL side.
“Before coming, I spoke with Lebo Mothiba, who was my teammate at the Mamelodi Sundowns. When I told him that I had the opportunity to come here, he told me not to hesitate and go for it," Sibiya told his club media.
“He was very happy for me and spoke to me very positively about the club and the city.”
Sibiya went on to describe the type of a defender he is.
“I am very grateful to have had this opportunity to join LOSC. I am proud and happy to sign in this great club, and very excited and eager to start working,” said Sibiya.
“I am a dynamic and fast defender. I care about progressing here and integrating as soon as possible, starting by adapting to French life and its football.
