“Thank you for everything.” Erling Haaland bids an emotional farewell to Kevin De Bruyne

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland is hardly thrilled about Kevin De Bruyne’s departure from the team, as the Belgian has always been the architect behind many of his goals. On his Instagram page, the Norwegian striker posted a heartfelt message to say goodbye to his teammate and friend.

Haaland shared an image of himself and Kevin standing in front of a “King Kev” banner, which City fans had unfurled in the stands at the Etihad for De Bruyne’s farewell match. In the picture, Kevin is also shown wearing a crown.
Haaland captioned the photo with the words, “What a player, thank you for everything,” tagging Kevin in the post.
As a reminder, last night saw Manchester City’s final home match of the current season, as they hosted Bournemouth. The Citizens secured a 3-1 victory, but unfortunately De Bruyne couldn’t find the back of the net, despite having a golden chance.
After the match, a touching farewell ceremony was held for the Belgian playmaker, with the crowd giving him a standing ovation and Pep Guardiola even unable to hold back tears.
De Bruyne has spent 10 years at Manchester City since joining in 2015. During that time, he won the 2022/23 Champions League and claimed the Premier League title six times.
