‘Thank God they didn't sign more players’. La Liga president praises Barcelona's form

Barcelona has made a stellar start to the new La Liga season. In six matches, they’ve secured six victories and currently sit atop the standings. La Liga president Javier Tebas shared his thoughts on Barça's form.

Details: The Spanish official considers Barcelona the frontrunners for both the La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League.

Quote: "Thank God Barcelona didn’t sign more players, otherwise they’d be winning games 10-0. They are contenders for the La Liga and Champions League titles," Tebas remarked.

Additionally: Fermin López is in talks for a contract renewal, with sources indicating that a five-year deal has already been agreed upon. Left-back Gerard Martín has also updated his contract with the club.

Barcelona is also negotiating with the representatives of Gavi and Pedri, whose contracts expire in 2026. Reports suggest that talks with both players are in advanced stages.

However, there’s bad news for Barcelona: Captain and first-choice goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has suffered a serious injury.
