Thabo Cele's future with Kaizer Chiefs in doubt as the player remains in South Africa while the team is in Spain

Thabo Cele may not be part of the Kaizer Chiefs set up next season.

The former Bafana Bafana international joined Chiefs last season and has not lived up to expectations after joining from Russian side Fakel Voronezh.

His start to his Chiefs career was good but the midfielder's cardinal sin was not seeing eye to eye with former co-coaches in Cedric Kaze and Ben Youssef Khalil.

The player is said to have clashed with the coaches over tactics and this was the straw which broke the camel's back.

Now as the entire squad jetted out of South Africa to Spain for their pre-season tour, Cele was left out which indicates he may leave the team.

Chiefs are under new coach Fernando da Cruz who comes in after the team decided against keeping Kaze and Khalil.
