Manchester United are on the verge of appointing Michael Carrick as the club’s new head coach. According to BBC Sport, both parties have already reached an agreement, and the final paperwork is currently being completed.
The official announcement is expected within the next 48 hours. The club hopes to finalize all formalities before the home match against Nottingham Forest, which will be United's final game at Old Trafford this season.
The 44-year-old manager is reportedly set to sign a two-year contract, with an option to extend for an additional season.
As a reminder, Carrick took charge on an interim basis following Ruben Amorim’s departure in January and has made a significant impact. Under his leadership, the Red Devils have shown remarkable progress and secured a Champions League spot for next season.
