Terem Moffi’s Epic Comeback: 240 Days Later, The Nigerian Star Returns!
Terem Moffi, who has been out for 240 days owing to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, will return to action on Wednesday, marking a key milestone in his recuperation.
Injury & Recovery Journey
In July 2023, Moffi sustained the injury during a Nice training session, necessitating surgery and a 37-match absence. He had recently ended a successful season with 11 goals and two assists in 30 games, drawing interest from European teams like Roma and West Ham, so the setback came at a terrible time.
The 25-year-old resumed light training in early March and has been steadily working his way back to full fitness. On Saturday, Nice confirmed his progress by sharing images of him participating in an intense training session with his teammates.
Gradual Return to Action
Reports from Shango Foot suggest Moffi could make his first appearance in a Nice U23 friendly against Brighton U23s next week as part of his reintegration process. Given the severity of his injury, Nice will take a cautious approach, likely easing him back with minutes in the reserve team before a full return to first-team action.
What’s Next for Moffi?
Moffi will concentrate on getting back to match fitness before the upcoming preseason, even though he may not have many first-team opportunities with only two months left in the season.
