Tension rises between Xabi Alonso and Vinícius on the verge of a breakup
Real Madrid suffered a narrow defeat to Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League, and following the match, reports emerged of strained relations between the coach and the team’s star.
Details: According to Goal, the relationship between Brazilian winger Vinícius Júnior and head coach Xabi Alonso is reportedly on the brink of collapse.
Moreover, no agreement has yet been reached regarding a new contract. Negotiations have been ongoing since late May 2024. What’s more, the Madrid club is said to be considering the possibility of selling the player for around €200 million.
By the way, no club in the history of the Champions League or the European Cup has beaten Real Madrid more often than Liverpool. They’ve done it five times — and impressively, all those wins came without conceding a single goal.
Reminder: The first half of the Champions League clash between Liverpool and Real Madrid was marred by a controversial incident.
