Tanzania’s head coach confident ahead of tough AFCON 2025 group stage

Following the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 draw, which put Tanzania in challenging Group C with Uganda, Nigeria, and Tunisia, head coach Hemed Suleiman Ali voiced confidence. "Every group in the competition presents challenges, and their group is no different," Suleiman said.

Although Tanzania has had difficulty advancing past the group stage in the past, Suleiman thinks his team is prepared to take on their opponents as they prepare for their fourth AFCON. Although he recognized the group's challenges, he insisted that they must adequately prepare and represent their nation.

Tanzania’s first match will be against Nigeria’s Super Eagles, and the team aims to make a strong showing after qualifying through victories over Guinea and Ethiopia. The coach’s goal is to help Tanzania reach new heights at this year’s tournament.
