Szczęsny's Barcelona debut date revealed

Since his career revival and transfer to Barcelona, legendary Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny has yet to play a match for his new club. But that is about to change.

Details: According to Diario Sport, Szczęsny is set to make his Barcelona debut in the Copa del Rey round of 32 match against Barbastro, scheduled for January 4 or 5.

It is expected that Szczęsny will be Barcelona's primary goalkeeper for all Copa del Rey fixtures.

Following the injury to Marc-André ter Stegen, who is out for the rest of the season, Iñaki Peña has taken over as Barcelona’s first-choice goalkeeper, while Szczęsny has so far served as a backup.
