On Saturday, November 8, as part of Matchweek 11 of the English Premier League, Sunderland and Arsenal are facing off.
The hosts broke the deadlock in the 36th minute, putting an end to an impressive run by Mikel Arteta’s side. This goal was the first Arsenal had conceded in the past 41 days.
Before this, Arsenal had gone eight consecutive matches in all competitions without conceding a single goal, winning them by an aggregate score of 17-0. The last time the Gunners allowed their opponents to find the net was on September 28, when they edged Newcastle 2-1.
It's worth highlighting that the man who found the net against Arsenal was none other than their own academy graduate, defender Dan Ballard.
