Swiatek complained about the WTA calendar for 2024

The best tennis player in the world, Iga Swiatek, was unhappy with the changes in the tournament calendar for 2024.
She noted that the calendar is changing to increase the number of commitments and energy expenditures players will have to make while participating in tournaments as they become longer.
“This is in line with what the WTA promotes in other areas such as supporting mental and physical health, achieving balance in life. I would rather make decisions that are more in line with what they advocate and support,” she said.
It is worth noting that in the WTA calendar next year the number of 1000-level tournaments will increase to ten, and the duration of the tournaments in Madrid and Beijing will increase to two weeks.
In addition, the Olympic Games will be held in Paris this summer.
We previously wrote that Swiatek won the final WTA tournament.
