The coming month will be crucial for Mudryk regarding his doping suspension.

Details: According to Footmercato, 24-year-old Ukrainian winger for Chelsea, Mykhailo Mudryk, could make his return to the field as a player as soon as January 17, 2026.

It is expected that his suspension, imposed due to doping allegations, will be lifted precisely on that date.

According to the source, Mudryk will not get an immediate chance at Chelsea but will first be loaned out. Clubs such as Sevilla and Strasbourg are reportedly interested in the Ukrainian winger.

Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023 for €70 million. On December 17, 2024, Mudryk was accused of doping—specifically, the use of meldonium, a substance banned in sports. The B sample also tested positive, but there has been no final verdict on his suspension, making his return in January quite likely.

In total, Mudryk has played 73 matches for the Blues, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists.

Reminder: Cole Palmer misses Chelsea training. Something serious?
