Cole Palmer misses Chelsea training. Something serious?
Chelsea are preparing for their upcoming UEFA Champions League match against Atalanta, but they’re doing so without their star man — Cole Palmer, who skipped the latest training session.
Details: Insider Matt Law reports that the midfielder sat out the session, but has no injuries or setbacks. This is part of his recovery programme following a long-term injury he suffered earlier.
He will miss the match against Atalanta, but is expected to be ready for the clash with Everton on Saturday, 13 December, at 16:00 CET.
We also recently reported that Chelsea forward Liam Delap suffered a serious shoulder injury during the club’s Premier League Matchday 15 fixture against Bournemouth. Medical tests confirmed the severity of the injury, ruling Delap out for six to eight weeks.
Reminder: Lyon plans to sign Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi this winter.
