A surprising problem may already be brewing for Xabi Alonso at Stamford Bridge.

Details: According to TEAMtalk, citing ESPN Brasil, 19-year-old Chelsea winger Estêvão Willian could consider leaving the London club during the January transfer window if he continues to receive limited playing time under Xabi Alonso.

The Brazilian has played only seven minutes in the Premier League so far this season, although Alonso did hand him a start against Luton Town in the League Cup. Estêvão is said to prefer operating more centrally in the final third, where Chelsea already have serious competition for places.

The report stresses that Estêvão likes Chelsea and his priority is still to remain at Stamford Bridge. However, if his situation does not change during the first half of the campaign, the winger could reconsider his future when the European transfer window reopens in January.

Liverpool are monitoring the situation. The Reds identified Estêvão as a potential target during the summer and could revive their interest if the Brazilian becomes available. Chelsea, meanwhile, previously regarded the youngster as one of the players they did not want to lose.

It is worth noting that Chelsea have made a perfect start to the new Premier League campaign, winning their opening two matches and scoring seven goals under Alonso.
