According to his manager Spencer Brown, Tyson Fury is not concerned that his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk is losing its status as an undisputed heavyweight title bout after the Ukrainian vacated the IBF belt.

"Usyk became the undisputed champion. We are down 1-0. Now it’s halftime. There will be a second half. You have to remember that Usyk’s team is the greatest team in the world. They kindly agreed to a rematch, and it’s just another fight — for Tyson, it’s just another fight, and he will win it.

Belts are leather and metal, aren’t they? You wake up in the morning and think, ‘I want to see this fight, but it’s not for the undisputed title.’ Does that change your mind [about wanting to see it]? It’s a shame it happened, but it is what it is. That’s life. Let someone else go out and become a world champion. Tyson doesn’t care," Brown told BoxingScene.

Recently, Usyk recorded a video message announcing that the IBF belt is important for Joshua and Dubois, so he is giving it to them as a gift. They will fight on September 21 to determine the new IBF heavyweight champion.

Previously, WBO super lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez also commented on this topic.
