Khanyisa Mayo is likely to remain at Kaizer Chiefs for the upcoming Betway Premierhsip season.
Mayo was on loan at Amakhosi last season from Algeria's CR Belouizdad but did not have the best of loan stays at Naturena.
It was not clear if he could stay as the North African sides still had outstanding amounts to pay Mayo's former team, Cape Town City.
Actually, City reported Belouizdad to Fifa for breaching their contractual obligations on the amounts due to them.
But Chiefs seem to be keen on having the player permanently in their stable as they prepare for life under new man in Fernando da Cruz.
Cruz joined Amakhosi last month with the hope of winning silverware for the Soweto giants.
