The French-language account of Barcelona on social network X posted a video showing Munir Nasraoui, Lamin Yamal's father, in the stands at Mestalla during the match between Spain and the Netherlands. The video captured the moment when Yamal missed his penalty against Verbruggen.
Immediately after Lamin's shot, the camera caught Munir Nasraoui's face, who was grinning widely and seemed entirely unfazed by his son's miss.
As it turned out just a few minutes later, Nasraoui was completely right to remain calm and confident. The Spaniards managed to outplay their opponents thanks to a save by Unai Simón, who stopped a penalty taken by Donyell Malen. The decisive penalty was converted by Yamal's Barcelona teammate, Pedri.
