Spain continues to be battered by the devastating storm DANA, which has already claimed over 200 lives. Now, the storm has reached Catalonia.
Details: The scale of destruction in Barcelona isn’t as severe as it was in Valencia, but the city has been heavily flooded, affecting the plans of its premier football club.
Due to the flooding, Barcelona was forced to cancel their on-field training session today, holding the entire workout indoors in the gym.
Upon returning home, La Liga’s top scorer, Robert Lewandowski, faced an unwelcome surprise. The garage where he parks his car was almost completely flooded. The 36-year-old Polish striker shared images on Instagram, showing just how high the water levels had risen.
Reminder: Due to storm DANA, La Liga has postponed the Matchday 12 fixture between Valencia and Real Madrid, originally scheduled for Saturday. Additionally, six matches in the Copa del Rey’s Round of 64 and the league game between Villarreal and Rayo Vallecano have been rescheduled.
