Steve Barker's Stellenbosch FC to use Peter Mokaba Stadium for their Caf home match
Stellenbosch FC are to travel to Limpopo for their home game against Congo-Brazzaville side AS Otoho.
Stellies have no venue to use in Cape Town as both the DHL Cape Town Stadium is unavailable and their home ground, Danie Craven Stadium and Athlone Stadium, does not meet Caf requirements.
This meant they needed to find an alternative venue with Caf standards and Limpopo’s 2010 venue ticked the boxes.
In the previous season, Stellenbosch used Moses Mabhida Stadium as their home ground when the DHL Stadium was booked.
Steve Barker’s men are in group C alongside Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, Congo-Brazzaville’s AS Otoho and Tanzania’s Singida Black Stars.
Barker, two weeks ago, mentioned that the Caf matches are to be the stepping stone for returning to form in the Betway Premiership as they are second from bottom.
Any results on Sunday, against AS Otoho, albeit at home away from home, will tell if they have hit the right notes form wise.
