Sterling sets Chelsea's condition ahead of possible exit

Winger Raheem Sterling is not part of Chelsea head coach Enzo Mareschi's plans and the player is fine with leaving, but he has one condition.
According to The Athletic, the player's first priority now is to settle his contact with Chelsea. This is what is hindering progress in negotiations with clubs who have expressed interest in his services.
It is not specified what is meant by this, but recall that Sterling still has three years left on his contract with Chelsea, which earns him over £300,000 a week.
Aston Villa were among the contenders for the 29-year-old winger, but Unai Emery's team showed no concrete interest in Sterling's services and soon abandoned the idea of employing him.
It has also been reported that the Chelsea player is attracting interest from Saudi clubs.
