This season can be chalked up as a success for Stellenbosch, and the team's key players are hoping their club performances will earn them call-ups to their respective national teams.

Details: Stellenbosch winger Ibrahim Jabaar has revealed that his dream is to play for the Nigerian national team, drawing inspiration from two current "Super Eagles" players plying their trade in the South African Premier Division—Olisa Ndah and Stanley Nwabali.

Quote: "Obviously, playing for your country is every player's dream. So I think about it all the time. I believe it will depend on the coach. But if I get the call, of course I'll go and do my job. I've always said, from the very beginning, that I want to play in Europe. I know it's going to happen, and I'm determined to get there," Jabaar said.

Reminder: In the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Nigeria is set to face South Africa, with the two teams meeting head-to-head in September. The match played on the "Super Eagles'" home turf last summer ended in a 1-1 draw.
