Stellenbosch FC striker Ashley Cupido moves to Israeli club on loan for the season
Cupido moves to the MIddle East after an average season with Stellies
Ashley Cupido has joined Israel side Kiryat Yam on a season long loan deal with Betway Premiership side Stellenbosch FC.
The striker moves to the Middle East with the hope of resurrecting his ailing career after also falling down the pecking order in the Bafana Bafana squad.
“Yes, I feel this is a good opportunity for me just to get back to my best, considering how the last season played out. I think this opportunity is best for me. Getting back on track and scoring,” said Cupido on iDiski Times.
The arrival of Sinoxolo Kwayiba at the Cape Winelands meant that Cupido would find it challenging to command a regular starting berth in the team.
Infact, Cupido has not been a regular since Gavin Hunt arrived at the Cape Town side.
