Renowned British artist Ed Sheeran flew to Brazil to participate in the 2024 Rock in Rio festival. While in the country, the singer seized the opportunity to attend a football match and experience its unique atmosphere.
Details: Sheeran visited the iconic Maracanã Stadium to watch the first leg of the Copa Libertadores quarterfinal between Fluminense and Atlético Mineiro.
As reported by ESPN, Sheeran was thrilled with the atmosphere at Maracanã, and after the game, Fluminense gifted him a personalized jersey.
Notably, the match ended with Fluminense securing a 1-0 victory.
Reminder: Earlier this summer, Sheeran became a minority shareholder in Ipswich Town, the newly promoted Premier League club, which he has supported since childhood.
