The famous British singer Ed Sheeran became a shareholder of the Premier League team Ipswich Town.
The club's official website reported that Sheeran bought 1.4% of the club's shares. The 33-year-old singer will have a long-term right to use the managers' box at the Portman Road stadium, but will not join the Ipswich board of directors.
By the way, Sheeran has already sponsored the club for three years, and this summer took part in the creation of the third set of uniforms.
"I am very happy that I bought a small share of the shares of the football club of my hometown. It is the dream of any football fan to become the owner of the club that he supports, and I am very grateful for this opportunity," said the singer.
It will be recalled that singer Ed Sheeran shot a special video in honor of Ipswich's return to the Premier League.
