It is reported that, alongside Neymar, both Raphinha and Vinícius Júnior were also in contention for the number 10 shirt. However, the coaching staff, led by Carlo Ancelotti, decided not to change the holder of the legendary number and kept it with Neymar, who has worn the iconic jersey for Brazil for over a decade.
Neymar made his debut for Brazil back in 2010 and has since played 128 matches, scoring 79 goals. The Brazilian star has made the final Seleção squad for the World Cup and could now take the field against Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.
