Sporting president addresses alleged breach of agreement with Gyökeres

Sporting striker Viktor Gyökeres has long been linked with a move away from the Lisbon club, and rumors have circulated about supposed agreements that would ease his departure. Club president Frederico Varandas was compelled to address these claims.
Details: Varandas clarified that no agreement existed for Gyökeres to leave for €60 million. Instead, both parties agreed last year that Sporting would not insist on activating the release clause. At the same time, there is no set maximum price, which means Sporting are free to demand as much as €80 million.
However, Varandas made it clear that Sporting would not accept a €60+10 million offer, nor would the club tolerate any form of blackmail. This stance remains firm, and no official bids for the Swedish striker have been received so far.
Reminder: Earlier reports suggested that Gyökeres was "furious" with Sporting for refusing to let him go for €60+10 million and felt aggrieved by the Lisbon club.
