Spent on breast augmentation: Ex-wife of former NFL player Earl Thomas accused of embezzling $2.7 million
Nina Heisser, the ex-wife of former NFL star Earl Thomas, is facing multiple criminal charges related to allegations that she orchestrated a scheme to siphon millions from her former husband. According to TMZ, Heisser is accused of embezzling over $2.7 million from Thomas's accounts without his knowledge.
The alleged scheme reportedly began in September 2021, a year after Heisser filed for divorce. The charges against her include conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft.
Investigators claim that Heisser used the funds for personal expenses, including breast implants and luxury items such as a Hermès Birkin handbag.
Heisser was arrested under a warrant on December 16 but has since been released. She has not yet commented publicly on the accusations.
Earl Thomas and Nina Heisser were married in 2016, but their relationship deteriorated over time. In 2020, Heisser reportedly confronted Thomas with a firearm after discovering he had been unfaithful, further straining their already troubled marriage.
