Spared no compliments. Ancelotti called Courtois the best goalkeeper in the world
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti shared his thoughts on the club's first-choice goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.
Details: The Italian coach once again praised the Belgian, calling him the best goalkeeper in the world.
Quote: "Thibaut Courtois? Right now, he’s the best in the world. Throughout my career, I've had great goalkeepers, but right now Thibaut is the best of them, no doubt about it," said Ancelotti.
Reminder: Courtois missed most of last season due to a serious injury. During his absence, Andriy Lunin primarily guarded the net for Real Madrid.
The Belgian returned to action on May 4, playing his first match of the season. He managed to keep clean sheets in all five games he played, making a total of 19 saves.
In the new season, Courtois has reclaimed his status as the team's undisputed first-choice goalkeeper, despite Lunin's contract extension.
