Confirmed. Lunin has extended his contract with Real Madrid
Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin amid rumours of his departure from the Spanish capital decided to extend his cooperation with the royal club.
The press service of Real announced the extension of the contract with the Ukrainian goalkeeper until 30 July 2030. Other details of the agreement in the statement of the club is not disclosed. Recall, earlier it was reported that after the successful substitution of Thibaut Courtois Lunin wanted to get more playing time at Real and against this background was ready to leave the team.
Last season the Ukrainian played 31 games for Real Madrid, in which he conceded 32 goals, and in ten games kept his goal intact. Thanks to a good game, the 25-year-old goalkeeper was nominated for the Lev Yashin Award.
Lunin moved to Real Madrid in 2018 and has been playing for the first team since 2020. During his career with Real, he won 10 titles: two Champions Leagues, one Club World Cup, two UEFA Super Cups, was twice Spanish champion and Spanish Cup winner, and is also a two-time Spanish Super Cup winner.
