Defender Jesús Navas of the Spanish national team started the match against France in the Euro 2024 semi-final, thereby setting a record for major international tournaments.
Navas became the oldest outfield player ever to start in the semi-final of a major international tournament. At the beginning of the match against France, Jesús was 38 years and 231 days old.
