Spain thrashed Northern Ireland in their final warm-up match before Euro 2024

The Spanish national team concluded their preparation for the 2024 European Championship with a resounding victory over Northern Ireland. The convincing triumph for "La Roja" was secured by goals from Pedri (brace), Morata, Fabián Ruiz, and Oyarzabal. However, the game didn't start as planned for De la Fuente's side. Just two minutes in, Unai Simón had to retrieve the ball from his own net after a precise strike by Daniel Ballard. By the 35th minute, the scoreboard already showed 4-1 in favor of Spain.

In the second half, Real Sociedad forward Mikel Oyarzabal added another goal for the Spanish side, and the team comfortably secured an easy victory.

Spain 5-1 Northern Ireland
Goals: Pedri 12, 29, Morata 18, Ruiz 35, Oyarzabal 60 — Ballard 2.

It is worth noting that the Spaniards will kick off their Euro 2024 campaign on June 15th in Berlin with a match against Croatia.
