Luis de la Fuente has achieved remarkable success with Spain's national team, earning a well-deserved reward today.
Details: The Royal Spanish Football Federation officially announced the extension of the 63-year-old coach’s contract.
De la Fuente's new deal will keep him with Spain's national team until the summer of 2028, meaning he will lead the team at Euro 2028, set to take place in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
His previous contract was set to expire in the summer of 2026.
Reminder: Under De la Fuente's leadership, Spain won Euro 2024 and claimed the title in the previous UEFA Nations League.
Earlier, Germany also extended the contract of its head coach, Julian Nagelsmann.
