Spain – Croatia. Predicted line-ups and latest news, – June 15, 2024

Group B matches at UEFA Euro 2024 will kick off in Berlin with a meeting between Spain and Croatia on 15 June.

The teams did well in the June friendlies, winning two matches each. Spaniards in sparring partners chose quite modest national teams: Andorra (5:0) and Northern Ireland (5:1). The Croatians had much more solid opponents: North Macedonia (3:0) and Portugal (2:1).

Luis de la Fuente's wards have already had their final training session before this match. All players took part in it, except for Aymeric Laporte, who due to muscle problems trained individually and will not take part in the game with Croatia.

Other aspects of the choice of the head coach of the Spanish national team remain in doubt, as even hints of whom de la Fuente will choose in the starting line-up, very little. We can only assume that Mikel Merino and Dani Olmo will be in the starting line-up, but they may remain in the reserves, and the place in the starting line-up will be taken instead by Fabian Ruiz and Nico Williams.

Lamine Yamal could also be in the line-up, as he will take his place on the right flank of the Furia Roja attack.

Zlatko Dalic's list may be questioned only by Ivan Perišić, who is still recovering from a knee injury, so he is very likely to start the match in the reserves.

Other players will be at the full disposal of the head coach of Croatia, which will add to his headache when choosing the squad. In midfield, Luka Modrić, Mateo Kovacic and Marcelo Brozovic are the best options.

Dalic has plenty of options in attack, but the attacking trio of Lovro Maier, Ante Budimir and Andrej Kramaric can be made up. In the defensive line, Joško Guardiol will have to face his teammate Rodri, while Josip Stanišić will take his place on the opposite flank.
