South African Bulls suffer third United Rugby Championship final defeat in 2024/25
Irish side Leinster have clinched the United Rugby Championship 2024/25 title. In the grand final in Dublin, the home team outclassed the South African Bulls with a commanding 32-7 victory.
This clash between representatives of two rugby powerhouses sparked massive interest, drawing a record crowd of 46,127 spectators.
Heading into the match, the Irish squad were clear favorites and lived up to that billing on the pitch. Leinster produced a superb first half, taking a 19-0 lead into the break. The South Africans managed to get on the scoreboard early in the second half, but never threatened a comeback—the final score, 32-7.
Notably, this marks the Bulls’ second consecutive, and third in four years, defeat in a United Rugby Championship final. Last year, they lost to Glasgow, while in 2022 they were beaten by the Stormers.
